Product Description

The PRIME LINE PRODUCTS H 3540 is a non-handed casement window locking handle finished in bronze. Built from diecast construction, the handle hangs straight down in its default position, making it compatible with both left- and right-swing casement windows. Mounting holes are spaced 2-3/8 inches on center for straightforward installation. A 3/16-inch security hole is integrated into the lock body to accept an optional security pin, allowing the casement lock to be secured against unauthorized operation. This hardware is used on a wide range of aluminum and steel frame windows in residential applications and is installed by glaziers, general contractors, and maintenance technicians.

This handle is suited for aluminum and steel casement windows where a non-handed, universal-fit replacement is required. The straight-down handle orientation is the standard configuration for most residential casement window hardware. The bronze finish blends with common window hardware finishes found in older and mid-century window stock. The package contains 6 handles per unit, making it practical for multi-unit replacement jobs or stocking purposes. An optional security pin, PRIME LINE PRODUCTS part S 4071, can be used with the built-in 3/16-inch security hole to lock the handle in the closed position.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by glaziers, window installers, or general maintenance technicians. Disengage the existing casement operator and remove the old handle before installing the replacement. Align the new handle so the mounting holes line up with existing screw points spaced 2-3/8 inches on center. If the security pin feature will be used, install part S 4071 through the 3/16-inch security hole after the handle is fully seated and fastened.
