The PRIME-LINE PRODUCTS H 3531 is an aluminum die-cast crank handle designed for casement windows. It provides reliable torque for smooth, consistent operation when opening and closing single- or double-hung casement window units. The die-cast aluminum construction keeps the handle rigid under repeated use, and the universal design allows it to fit a wide range of casement window operators. The handle projects 2.6875 inches from the base, giving the operator enough clearance for a firm grip. Sold individually, this handle is a straightforward replacement part for worn or broken casement window hardware.
This handle is suited for residential casement window applications where the existing crank handle has cracked, stripped, or broken at the operator shaft. Glaziers, general contractors, handymen, and property maintenance technicians commonly install this type of hardware during window hardware service calls or as part of a larger window refurbishment. The 5/16 inch drive shaft opening matches standard casement window operator fittings found in many residential window assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement crank handle for residential casement windows equipped with a standard 5/16 inch operator shaft.
Installation is typically performed by a glazier, general contractor, or experienced maintenance technician. Before replacing the handle, close the window fully and disengage any locking hardware to relieve tension on the operator. Remove the set screw or retaining clip securing the old handle to the operator shaft, slide the old handle off, and seat the new handle onto the shaft before re-securing the fastener. Do not force the handle onto a shaft that does not match the 5/16 inch drive size, as this can damage the operator mechanism.
