The PRIME LINE PRODUCTS D 1527 is a C-tab patio door roller assembly designed for sliding patio door systems. The assembly features a 1-1/8-inch diameter concave, grooved steel ball bearing roller that provides smooth, consistent door travel along the track. The C-shaped mounting tab wraps around the corner screw and is captured by the side stile and bottom rail as the screw draws the two components together, creating a secure mechanical fit. This roller is a hardware replacement part installed by glaziers, door and window contractors, or experienced maintenance technicians during patio door servicing or refurbishment.
This assembly is most often used in Solar Industries patio doors and fits a variety of other sliding patio door systems that use the C-tab mounting design. It is suited to residential sliding door applications where the original roller has worn, cracked, or failed, causing the door to drag, bind, or derail. Each package contains 6 roller assemblies, making it practical for multi-door projects or to keep spares on hand for service calls. The housing measures 23/32 inches wide and 1-3/16 inches tall with a dimple width of 7/8 inches.
Most often used with Solar Industries sliding patio doors and a variety of other patio door manufacturers that use the C-tab roller mounting system. Verify housing dimensions and tab style against the existing roller before installation.
Installation is typically performed by a glazier, door and window technician, or qualified maintenance professional. Remove the sliding door panel from the track before servicing the roller assembly, and clear the track of debris. The corner screw draws the stile and rail together to capture the C-tab, so ensure the screw is fully seated and secure before re-hanging the door. Inspect the track for wear or deformation that may have contributed to roller failure before reinstalling the panel.
