The PRIME LINE PRODUCTS B 649 is a high-tension steel spring roller assembly designed for sliding screen doors. Each pack contains two assemblies, each fitted with a 1-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) roller mounted in an adjustable HDPE inner housing. The flat steel spring end catches onto the inside of the door frame, while two forward-facing tabs prevent the roller from retracting too far into the frame during operation. The assembly inserts into the top or bottom of the sliding screen door frame using the included screws. This unit features a thinner HDPE frame profile compared to Prime Line part B 646.
This roller assembly is designed for use on Columbia Uni-Fit series sliding screen doors and is also compatible with a variety of other sliding screen door manufacturers that use a similar insert-style roller configuration. It is suited for residential applications where an adjustable, spring-loaded roller replacement is needed at the top or bottom of a sliding screen door. Installers and maintenance professionals should note the dimensions and design of the existing roller before installing to confirm fitment.

Installation is typically performed by a window and door technician or a qualified general contractor. Remove the sliding screen door from the track before servicing the roller assembly. Ensure the door is on a stable, flat surface during roller replacement. Confirm the roller position adjustment is correct and the door glides smoothly on the track before returning it to service.
