The PREMISE WIRING SS703 is a 2-gang, stamped straight-blade wallplate constructed from 302/304 stainless steel with a smooth finish. It accommodates a single 2.15-inch receptacle opening in a 4-bolt configuration and carries a standard designated size suitable for most commercial and residential rough-in boxes. At 0.035 inches thick, the plate is rigid enough to resist flex under repeated use while remaining non-magnetic. UL and CSA approvals confirm the unit meets established safety requirements for electrical wiring device installations. A protective plastic film is applied at the factory to prevent surface scratches during shipping and installation.
This wallplate is suited for use in highly corrosive environments where standard painted steel or plastic plates may degrade. Typical applications include industrial facilities, food processing areas, commercial kitchens, marine environments, and other locations where moisture, cleaning chemicals, or corrosive agents are present. The vertical mounting orientation and horizontal brushed appearance align with standard single-receptacle box configurations. Electricians installing devices in environments subject to OSHA or local health department sanitation requirements frequently specify stainless steel wallplates of this type. Country of origin is the United States.
Designed as a standard 2-gang replacement or new-installation wallplate for straight-blade single receptacle configurations using a 2.15-inch opening with 4-bolt mounting on standard electrical boxes.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify the absence of voltage before handling any wiring device or cover plate. Use the supplied 302/304 stainless steel screws to avoid galvanic incompatibility with the plate material. Remove the protective plastic film only after installation is complete to preserve the brushed finish.
