The PREMISE WIRING SS7 is a single-gang, stamped stainless steel wallplate designed for use with 15-amp straight blade and twist-lock receptacle devices. Constructed from 302/304 stainless steel with a smooth horizontal brushed finish, it features a 1.4-inch single receptacle opening and a standard-size footprint. At 0.035 inches thick, the plate is rigid enough for demanding environments while maintaining a low-profile appearance. It mounts vertically using a stainless steel slotted head screw and ships with a protective plastic film to prevent surface scratches during installation. UL and CSA listed, it is RoHS compliant and suitable for use across a wide temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees C.
The SS7 is intended for commercial and industrial electrical installations where corrosion resistance and durability are priorities. Its non-magnetic 302/304 stainless steel construction makes it well suited for highly corrosive environments such as food service facilities, chemical plants, and coastal or high-humidity locations. Licensed electricians installing or replacing receptacle wallplates in single-gang device boxes will find this plate compatible with standard 15-amp 2-wire and 3-wire devices. Designed as an OEM-style replacement wallplate for standard single-gang electrical boxes fitted with 15-amp 2-wire or 3-wire straight blade or twist-lock receptacle devices.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify absence of voltage before removing any existing wallplate or touching device terminals. Align the plate over the receptacle device and tighten the slotted head screw to a snug fit without over-torquing, which can crack or warp the plate. Work performed in commercial occupancies must comply with applicable NEC requirements for device finish and environmental ratings.
