The PREMISE WIRING SS126 is a 2-gang combination wallplate designed to accommodate one toggle switch opening and one decorator-style GFCI opening in a single stamped stainless steel plate. Constructed from 302/304 stainless steel with a lacquer-coated horizontal brushed finish, it resists corrosion and oxidation without requiring plating or painted coatings. At 0.035 inches thick, the plate maintains a low-profile appearance while meeting UL and CSA approval requirements. A protective plastic film is applied at the factory to prevent scratches during handling and installation. The non-magnetic steel construction makes it suitable for environments where magnetic interference is a concern. Licensed electricians install this plate as part of residential and light commercial wiring projects.
The SS126 is used wherever a toggle switch and a GFCI decorator device share the same box in a standard 2-gang configuration. Typical installations include kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and outdoor-rated enclosures where a GFCI device is required by code alongside a standard toggle. The vertical mounting orientation and standard designated size fit conventional 2-gang electrical boxes. The lacquer-coated brushed stainless finish suits commercial and institutional settings where durability and appearance both matter. Supplied as a single plate with a matching 302/304 stainless steel slotted head screw included for mounting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install wallplate for standard 2-gang electrical boxes accepting one toggle switch device and one decorator-style GFCI device in a vertically oriented configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify absence of voltage with a meter before handling any devices or wiring. Remove the factory plastic film after installation is complete to protect the finish during rough-in. Secure the plate with the included stainless slotted head screw — do not overtighten, as this can bow or crack the plate.
