The PREMISE WIRING PS0509NBK is a multiposition, non-metallic liquidtight conduit connector designed for use with non-metallic liquidtight conduit. The two-piece swivel body allows the fitting to rotate freely from 0 to 90 degrees during installation, making it well-suited for tight or angled runs where rigid connectors cannot be positioned accurately. Constructed from black nylon for the body, compression nut, and locknut, with neoprene used for the sealing ring and O-ring, this connector delivers a liquidtight seal at the hub or enclosure entry point. Rated for NEMA 4, 4X, 12, and 13 enclosures and listed by both UL and CSA. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting in commercial and industrial wiring applications.
The PS0509NBK is used in electrical installations where non-metallic liquidtight conduit connects to enclosures, junction boxes, or control panels requiring a watertight entry point. The 1/2-inch trade size suits standard branch circuit and control wiring runs. The swivel design is especially useful in panel terminations and equipment connections where conduit approach angles vary. The operating temperature range of -30 to 225 degrees F makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, including wash-down environments where NEMA 4X or NEMA 12 enclosure ratings are required.
Designed for use on non-metallic liquidtight conduit at 1/2-inch trade size. Suitable for connection to NEMA 4, 4X, 12, and 13 rated enclosures and junction boxes accepting standard 1/2-inch knockouts.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Power down and lock out the circuit or enclosure before beginning work. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the conduit, then use appropriate pliers or a strap wrench to achieve a secure, liquidtight fit without overtightening the nylon components. Verify the O-ring is properly seated against the enclosure hub before securing the locknut.
