The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 7466390 is a double-cut carbide abrasive bur in a cylinder-with-pilot head shape, designed for aggressive material removal and precise finish work in demanding industrial and trade applications. The 1/8 inch shank accommodates standard die grinders and rotary tools, while the 1/8 inch cutting diameter and 1 inch length of cut allow controlled burring in tight or recessed areas. Rated to 50,000 RPM, this bur is built for high-speed operation without deflection. The uncoated carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance across a broad range of materials. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and fabricators are the primary users.
This bur is suited for deburring, shaping, and material removal on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and other hard materials. The cylinder-with-pilot geometry makes it effective for enlarging or finishing drilled holes and recesses where a standard cylinder bur would lack the indexing benefit of the pilot. It performs equally well in production shop environments and field fabrication settings. Overall length is 3 inches, making it compatible with standard die grinder collets and flexible shaft tools.
Designed as a direct cross-reference replacement for the PDM-02DC industry specification, suitable for use in any die grinder or rotary tool accepting a 1/8 inch collet. Compatible with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and other hard materials as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, or maintenance technicians using a standard die grinder or rotary tool with a 1/8 inch collet. Always power down and disconnect the tool from its air or electrical supply before inserting or removing the bur. Inspect the shank for wear or damage before each use and discard any bur showing cracks or chipping. Do not exceed the rated 50,000 RPM maximum speed for this bur.
