The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 6002737 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metalworking and fabrication applications. Built from solid carbide with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) diameter, a standard 118-degree point angle, and a right-hand spiral flute configuration. The two-flute, web-thinned design reduces entry force and promotes chip evacuation in demanding materials. With an overall length of 4.5 inches and a flute length of 2.875 inches, this bit fits standard jobber-length tooling setups. Licensed tradespeople and machinists working in production or maintenance environments will find it well suited to repetitive drilling tasks.
This bit is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and hard materials, covering primary workpiece material codes P, M, K, N, and H. The straight cylindrical shank with a 7/16 inch shank diameter and 1.625 inch shank length fits directly into standard drill chucks and collet holders without adapters. The regular spiral type and tapered web configuration make it appropriate for general fabrication shops, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in drilling, and electrical conduit or panel work where a reliable carbide bit is required.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit within the D33F-D33W-D33L-D33M series, compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 7/16 inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, and trade technicians using a standard drill press, hand drill, or CNC spindle. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify rotational direction is set to right-hand before engaging the workpiece. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece to prevent movement during drilling. Consult applicable ANSI safety standards for drilling operations involving carbide tooling.
