The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 6002069 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit sized at No. 31 (0.1200 inches) with a 118-degree standard point angle. Built from solid carbide throughout, it delivers hardness and wear resistance suited to high-precision drilling in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and other materials within its rated workpiece range. The bright, uncoated finish leaves the carbide substrate exposed, which works well in applications where coating adhesion or heat buildup is not a concern. With a 2.2500-inch overall length and a 1.2500-inch flute length, this bit fits standard jobber-length chucks and is handled by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and industrial maintenance technicians.
This drill bit is designed for general-purpose drilling operations where tight hole tolerances and a clean entry are required. Its right-hand cut, regular spiral flute geometry and web-thinned tapered web reduce thrust and improve chip evacuation. Primary workpiece materials include aluminum and non-ferrous metals, making it a practical choice for production drilling, fixture work, and maintenance drilling in sheet metal or billet stock. It is sold individually and carries an ANSI standard designation under series D33F-D33W-D33L-D33M.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose jobber length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and CNC drilling equipment accepting a 0.1200-inch straight shank. Compatible with aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials per the Series D33F-D33W-D33L-D33M specification.
Install in a compatible drill chuck or collet rated for the 0.1200-inch shank diameter, ensuring the shank is fully seated and the chuck is tightened securely before operation. Ensure the workpiece is clamped or fixtured before drilling to prevent movement and bit deflection. De-energize and lock out any power tool or machine before changing bits. Follow applicable ANSI safety standards and shop-specific PPE requirements when operating carbide tooling.
