The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 5999205 is a jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 66, with a decimal diameter of 0.0330 inches. Ground from high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features a standard 118-degree split point, two spiral flutes with a regular helix, and a straight cylindrical shank. The web is thinned and tapered for improved chip clearance and reduced thrust during drilling. Overall length is 1.375 inches. This bit is part of the R18P series and is built for general-purpose drilling in production and maintenance environments handled by machinists, tool and die technicians, and skilled tradespeople.
This drill bit is suited for drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and other hard materials. The 0.0330-inch diameter makes it appropriate for small-diameter through-holes, pilot holes, and precision tapping prep work. Flute length is 0.500 inches, providing a maximum drilling depth of 0.500 inches. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks and collet holders without adapters.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 0.0330-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of the PRECISION TWIST DRILL R10P-R15P-R18P series.
Install and service performed by machinists or maintenance technicians. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before drilling. Power down and de-energize any drill press or CNC machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 0.500 inches per pass without retracting to clear chips.
