The PRECISION TWIST DRILL 5999053 is a jobber-length drill bit in wire size number 4, with a decimal diameter of 0.2090 inches. Made from high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it is designed for general-purpose drilling across a wide range of materials. The 118-degree standard point angle provides reliable center-starting performance on flat and curved surfaces. With an overall length of 3.75 inches and a 2-flute spiral configuration, this bit is suited for hand-fed and machine-fed drilling operations. It is used by machinists, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals working with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
This bit is built for production and maintenance drilling environments where a standard-tolerance jobber-length tool is required. The straight-cylindrical shank fits conventional 3-jaw drill chucks on benchtop drill presses, hand drills, and CNC drilling setups. The regular spiral and tapered web construction with web thinning support chip evacuation during through-hole and blind-hole operations. It is part of the R10P-R15P-R18P series from PRECISION TWIST DRILL, which is engineered to meet ANSI standards for jobber-length drill bits.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber-length drill bit compatible with standard 3-jaw drill chucks accepting a 0.2090-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per workpiece material codes P, M, K, N, and S.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a standard drill press, hand drill, or CNC machine with a compatible 3-jaw chuck. Secure the shank fully into the chuck before operating and confirm the bit runs true before beginning the cut. Appropriate cutting fluid or coolant is recommended when drilling steel or stainless steel to extend tool life, as this bit does not feature a coolant-through design. Always power down and de-energize equipment before changing or inspecting tooling.
