The PRECISION BRAND 35590 is an all-stainless steel worm gear hose clamp engineered for demanding installation environments across HVAC, plumbing, and fluid-handling applications. Built with a three-piece construction that eliminates spot welds, the clamp resists the corrosion points that commonly fail in standard clamps. Rounded edges protect the hose from cutting or abrasion during tightening and in service. The clamp adjusts to fit hose outside diameters from 4.5 inches to 6.5 inches and meets or exceeds SAE torque specifications, making it suitable for both pressurized and non-pressurized connections where a secure, vibration-resistant seal is required.
This clamp is suited for residential and light commercial trade work involving larger-diameter hoses and flexible connections. Typical applications include HVAC condensate drain lines, plumbing supply and drain fittings, pool and spa plumbing, and general fluid-transfer piping where stainless steel corrosion resistance is specified. The worm gear drive allows precise torque adjustment without over-compressing the hose. Sold in a minimum pack of 10 units, making it practical for service trucks and job-site inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation worm gear hose clamp for use with hoses and fittings with outside diameters falling within the 4.5 inches to 6.5 inches clamping range across HVAC, plumbing, pool, and general fluid-handling systems.
Installation is performed by qualified HVAC technicians, plumbers, or pipe fitters using a standard flat-blade or hex-drive screwdriver or nut driver. Ensure the hose and fitting surfaces are clean and free of debris before seating the clamp. Position the clamp so the worm gear housing clears any nearby fittings or walls, then tighten evenly to the hose manufacturer's recommended torque without exceeding SAE limits. Do not over-torque, as this can deform the hose and compromise the seal.
