Manufactured from 1075 spring steel, it delivers consistent thickness and reliable resilience under load. The shim measures 0.032 inches thick, with an inside diameter of 0.501 inches and an outside diameter of 0.738 inches. The thickness tolerance is held to plus or minus 0.0015 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance fits around 1/2-inch fasteners and shoulders. Each package contains 50 shims. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians install these shims to correct misalignment, take up clearances, and level components in production and field service environments.
This shim is used in mechanical and industrial assemblies where precise axial spacing or load distribution is required around a 1/2-inch screw or shaft shoulder.
