The PRECISION BRAND 15575 is a zinc-finished, low-carbon steel key stock bar used to secure rotating components such as gears, pulleys, and sprockets to shafts in mechanical drive assemblies. Measuring 0.75 inches wide by 0.625 inches tall by 12 inches long, each bar is manufactured to ASTM A108 specifications and carries a Rockwell B80-90 hardness rating. This pack contains four pieces. Licensed millwrights, maintenance technicians, and industrial mechanics install key stock during equipment assembly, overhaul, and shaft replacement tasks across manufacturing, HVAC, and general industrial applications.
This key stock is suited for use in keyed shaft-and-hub connections in rotating equipment found in both light commercial and industrial settings. The 12-inch length allows field cutting to match specific keyway dimensions. The zinc finish provides a base level of corrosion resistance appropriate for indoor mechanical environments. Technicians working on pump shafts, fan assemblies, conveyor drives, and similar rotating machinery will find this bar stock a standard fit for common keyway profiles.
Designed for use in standard keyed shaft-and-hub applications where a 3/4-inch wide by 5/8-inch tall key profile is required per the drive assembly specifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright or maintenance technician. Deenergize and lock out all power to the equipment before accessing the shaft assembly. Key stock should be cut to length using appropriate metal-cutting tools and deburred before fitting into the keyway. Verify keyway dimensions and tolerances against the equipment manufacturer's specifications before final assembly.
