The PPS 87075 is a 2-inch nominal, plain-end stainless steel pipe manufactured from 304 stainless steel and produced domestically to ASTM A554 standards. Each length measures 20 feet and features a 2.01-inch inside diameter, a 2.13-inch outside diameter, and a 0.06-inch wall thickness. It carries a working pressure rating of 200 psi and is rated for service across a temperature range of 0 to 250 degrees F. This pipe is suited for plumbing and mechanical piping systems where corrosion resistance, pressure integrity, and domestic material sourcing are required. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors are the primary installers.
This pipe is used in residential and commercial plumbing, mechanical, and light industrial piping systems where 304 stainless steel is specified for its corrosion resistance. The plain end style allows it to be cut to length on the job and joined using press-fit, threaded, welded, or grooved end connections, depending on the system design. ASTM A554 compliance makes it appropriate for structural and mechanical tubular applications where recognized material standards are required by code or specification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock pipe for 2-inch stainless steel plumbing and mechanical piping systems. Compatible fittings and joining methods must be rated for 304 stainless steel and match the 2.13-inch outside diameter.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or mechanical contractor in accordance with the applicable plumbing code, such as the IPC or local equivalent. Isolate and depressurize the system fully before cutting or joining pipe. Use stainless-steel-compatible cutting tools and deburr cut ends before fitting assembly to ensure a proper seal. Verify that all fittings, hangers, and supports are rated for 304 stainless steel to avoid galvanic corrosion at contact points.
