The POWER-STRUT P1109AS EG is a pre-assembled, two-piece conduit clamp designed for securing 3/8 inch conduit to metal channel framing systems. Built from steel with an electro-galvanized finish, it delivers a rated load capacity of 400 pounds and an outside diameter of 5/8 inch. The clamp measures 1-1/4 inches wide with a 0.06 inch thickness. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting when attaching conduit runs to strut channel in commercial and industrial builds, keeping installations clean and code-ready without field assembly of separate hardware.
This clamp is suited for use with IMC and GRC conduit as well as SCH 40 and SCH 80 rigid steel pipe attached to metal channel framing. It fits into the PS 1100 series framing system, which supports conduit and pipe runs along walls, ceilings, and structural surfaces in both new construction and retrofit electrical installations. The pre-assembled design reduces installation time on the job site and is compliant with the Buy American Act, making it appropriate for federally funded projects with domestic content requirements.
Designed for use with IMC/GRC conduit and SCH 40/SCH 80 rigid steel pipe secured to PS 1100 series metal channel framing systems.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians following applicable NEC requirements for conduit support spacing and fastening. De-energize all circuits in the work area before securing conduit runs. Standard hand tools are sufficient for tightening the clamp hardware to the strut channel. Verify that the channel framing is properly anchored to the structure before loading conduit weight onto the fitting.
