Product Description

The Potter Electric Model VSR-4 is a vane type waterflow switch designed for wet sprinkler systems. This unit is UL Listed for use on steel pipes, with support for schedules 5 through 40 in sizes ranging from two to six inches. Additionally, it has FM approval for use on schedules 10 through 40, with sizes two through eight inches. The VSR-4 can function as a sectional waterflow detector in large systems.

It features two single pole, double throw (SPDT) snap action switches and an adjustable pneumatic retard mechanism that recycles instantly. The switches activate when water flow reaches 10 GPM or more downstream. The required flow condition must persist long enough to exceed the selected retard period.

The VSR-4 is housed in a durable die-cast enclosure, secured with tamper-resistant screws that necessitate a special key for removal. For added security, a field-installable cover tamper switch is available to indicate unauthorized access.
