The POTTER ELECTRIC SIGNAL s-24ww is a low profile, wall mount visual notification appliance designed for fire alarm and life safety systems. Operating on 24VDC, it delivers dependable strobe output with tamperproof field selectable candela settings of 15, 30, 60, 75, and 110 candela. The unit is engineered for minimum current draw, which supports longer notification appliance circuit (NAC) runs and reduces overall panel loading. The white finish is suitable for standard interior environments. Licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage electricians are the typical installing trades.
The s-24ww is used in commercial and light industrial fire alarm systems where visual-only notification is required or where it supplements audible devices. Wall mounting keeps the strobe within standard field-of-view requirements per NFPA 72. Selectable candela output allows a single SKU to meet the coverage requirements of rooms with varying dimensions without stocking multiple fixed-output strobes. This makes it well suited for office buildouts, healthcare facilities, and educational occupancies where room-by-room candela requirements differ.
Designed as an OEM-style visual notification appliance for use on 24VDC notification appliance circuits in conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or qualified low-voltage electrician in accordance with NFPA 72 and applicable local codes. De-energize the NAC circuit and follow lockout/tagout procedures before wiring. Set the candela selector to the required output level before completing the installation and verify the selection is secured against tampering per the manufacturer's instructions. Confirm total NAC current draw does not exceed the fire alarm control panel output rating after adding this device.
