The POTTER ELECTRIC SIGNAL pad100-sim is a single input monitor module designed for use in fire alarm systems that operate on a Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) loop. The module consumes one SLC loop address and monitors one Class B circuit, making it a compact and efficient addressable device. It features a single red LED that provides real-time status indication: during normal operation the LED flashes each time the control panel polls the device, and when the monitored input is activated the LED flashes at a rapid rate. Installation is handled by licensed fire alarm technicians as part of an addressable fire detection system.
The pad100-sim is suited for residential and commercial fire alarm installations where addressable monitoring of a single Class B initiating circuit is required. The module is designed to mount on a standard 4-inch square electrical box or a double gang box, giving installers flexibility in a variety of retrofit and new-construction applications. It integrates directly into an SLC loop, allowing the fire alarm control panel to supervise the connected circuit and report activation or trouble conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style addressable monitor module for use with compatible SLC-based fire alarm control panels that support Class B circuit monitoring.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician in accordance with NFPA 72 and applicable local codes. Power down or place the fire alarm control panel in service mode before wiring or removing the module. Secure the module to a listed electrical box before making SLC loop connections. Verify the assigned address and confirm normal polling response at the control panel before returning the system to service.
