The POTTER ELECTRIC SIGNAL CO. US PAD100-MIM is an addressable micro input module designed for use in fire alarm and life safety detection systems. This module monitors the status of supervised contact-based devices and transmits that information back to an addressable fire alarm control panel. It serves as an interface point between conventional detection accessories and an addressable loop, allowing field technicians and fire alarm installers to integrate contact-closure devices into an addressable system architecture. The PAD100-MIM is sold as a single unit and is a standard component category within the detection accessories product family.
This module is typically installed in commercial and light industrial fire alarm systems where addressable loop wiring is used. It is suited for applications where a technician needs to bring a dry-contact device, such as a supervisory switch, flow switch, or pull station, onto an addressable signaling line circuit. Fire alarm technicians install this module at or near the monitored device, mounting it in a standard electrical enclosure or directly within the device housing when space allows.
Designed as an OEM-style addressable input module for use with addressable fire alarm control panel signaling line circuits in commercial detection systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician in accordance with NFPA 72 and all applicable local codes. Power down and isolate the signaling line circuit before connecting or disconnecting the module. Follow the manufacturer wiring documentation for proper loop and supervised contact terminations. Verify addressable point programming at the fire alarm control panel after installation.
