The POTTER ELECTRIC SIGNAL CO. US PAD100-RM is an addressable relay module designed for use in fire alarm and life safety control systems. It provides a supervised, addressable output relay that allows the fire alarm control panel to activate auxiliary devices such as door holders, fans, dampers, or notification appliances based on programmed system logic. Licensed fire alarm technicians install this module as part of a structured addressable signaling loop, where each device is individually identified and monitored by the control panel. The PAD100-RM is sold as a single unit and is suited for both new installations and system expansions.
This module is used in commercial and light industrial fire alarm installations where addressable loop architecture is required. It is typically installed within a fire alarm control panel enclosure or at a remote junction point on the signaling line circuit. Common applications include controlling HVAC shutdown relays, releasing magnetic door holders, or switching auxiliary equipment as directed by the fire alarm system program. Installation is performed by qualified fire alarm technicians in accordance with NFPA 72 and local authority requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or expansion module for addressable fire alarm control systems requiring a supervised relay output device on a signaling line circuit.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician in compliance with NFPA 72 and applicable local codes. De-energize and isolate the signaling line circuit before connecting or removing any addressable module. Address programming should be completed per the control panel manufacturer instructions before placing the module in service. Verify relay output wiring and load ratings are within the specifications of the connected auxiliary device prior to system commissioning.
