The POLARIS ISR-350 is an inline insulated multi-tap cable splicer and reducer designed for aluminum and copper-to-aluminum conductor terminations. Rated for conductors from 6 AWG up to 350 KCMIL and a voltage rating of 600 volts, this connector handles a wide range of wire sizes in a single body. The Plastisol-insulated housing is abrasion resistant and chemical resistant, and it will not support combustion. Two hex screws with a 5/16-inch hex drive secure the conductors. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this connector in both commercial and residential wiring applications where inline splicing or conductor reduction is required.
The ISR-350 is suited for wire termination scenarios where two conductors must be joined inline, particularly where conductor sizes differ between source and load. The connector ships with removable access plugs over each hex screw, maintaining insulation integrity while still allowing tool access during termination. Its compact body measures 4.47 inches in length, 1.32 inches in width, and 2.2 inches in height, making it practical in tight junction boxes, pull sections, and equipment enclosures. It is manufactured in the USA and carries UL approval for both the United States and Canada.
Designed for inline wire termination applications using aluminum or copper-to-aluminum conductors ranging from 6 AWG to 350 KCMIL at voltages up to 600 volts. Suitable for connecting 2-wire inline configurations in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage with a meter before making any connections. Strip conductors to the required insertion depth, insert into the connector ports, and tighten hex screws with a 5/16-inch hex key to secure the conductors. Reinstall the access plugs over the hex screws after termination to maintain the insulated rating of the connector body.
