The PLATINUM TOOLS JH911-100 is a hammer-on cable staple designed to secure low-voltage wiring, coaxial cable, or communication wire to wood framing, studs, and similar substrates. It accepts cable diameters ranging from 5/16 inches through 1/2 inches and features a 1/4 inch shank for clean, consistent seating when driven with a hammer or staple gun mallet. This type of fastener is a standard consumable on residential and light commercial wiring jobs, allowing technicians to run and anchor cable quickly along framing members without the need for screws or a power tool.
This cable staple is suited for electrical, low-voltage, and data cabling installations where a fast, clean fastening method is required. Typical applications include securing CAT cable, coax, speaker wire, and similar conductors to wood framing during rough-in or retrofit work. The 5/16 to 1/2 inch cable range covers the most common wire bundles encountered in residential wiring runs. Sold individually as a single unit per package.
Designed as an OEM-style fastener for securing cables and wiring in residential and light commercial framing applications where cable diameters fall between 5/16 inches and 1/2 inches.
Installation is performed by electricians and low-voltage technicians following applicable NEC guidelines for cable support and spacing. Drive the shank flush into the framing member using a standard hammer, taking care not to over-drive and damage the cable jacket. Ensure the staple bridges the cable without crimping or compressing the conductor. Always de-energize circuits before working near existing wiring in the installation area.
