The PLATINUM TOOLS 350TP is a dual-rated mechanical lug designed for terminating aluminum or copper conductors in electrical distribution and service entrance applications. Rated for conductors from 6 AWG up to 350 KCMIL, this single-conductor lug features an electro-tin plated aluminum body that reduces contact resistance at the termination point. The straight pad design with a 5/16-inch hex socket screw makes installation straightforward for licensed electricians working on panels, disconnects, and switchgear. It carries UL approval for both Canada and the United States and is rated at 600 volts and 90 degrees C.
The 350TP is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where a reliable, code-compliant mechanical termination is required. Common applications include service entrance equipment, load centers, metering enclosures, and distribution panels. The dual-rated conductor compatibility — accepting both copper and aluminum wire — makes it a flexible option when field conditions involve mixed conductor materials. Electricians installing this lug will find the straight pad orientation and single-hole mounting pattern compatible with typical bus bar and equipment stud configurations encountered in panel work.
Designed as an OEM-style mechanical termination lug compatible with service entrance equipment, load centers, and distribution panels that accept a straight single-hole pad with a 0.34-inch stud.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Shut off and lock out the circuit or panel before making any terminations. Use a calibrated torque screwdriver or wrench with a 5/16-inch hex socket to tighten the clamping screw to the equipment manufacturer's specified torque value. Do not use anti-oxidant compound unless required by the equipment manufacturer for the specific conductor material being terminated.
