The PLATINUM TOOLS 2-600L2 is a mechanical panelboard lug designed for multi-conductor electrical terminations in residential and commercial panelboard applications. Built from aluminum with an electro-tin plating for low contact resistance, this lug accepts both copper and aluminum conductors ranging from 2 AWG minimum to 600 KCMIL maximum. It features a straight pad type with a 3/8-inch hex socket screw, making it compatible with standard installation tooling. Rated at 600 volts and 90 degrees C, it carries UL approval for both Canada and the United States. The two-conductor configuration and NEMA mounting hole spacing provide a secure, turn-preventing fit in panelboard assemblies.
This lug is suited for use in panelboard termination work where two large-gauge conductors must be landed at a single point. The NEMA-standard mounting hole spacing ensures proper alignment and mechanical retention inside the panelboard enclosure. It is appropriate for both new construction and service upgrade installations where aluminum or copper feeders connect to distribution equipment. Electricians working on commercial distribution panels, service entrances, or industrial panelboards will find this lug appropriate for high-capacity conductor termination up to 600 KCMIL.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit panelboard lug for multi-conductor termination applications requiring NEMA mounting hole spacing in standard panelboard enclosures.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panelboard before making any conductor terminations. Use the specified 3/8-inch hex socket driver to seat the clamping screw; do not over-torque or substitute fastener types. Verify conductor preparation, including proper stripping length and absence of insulation in the clamping zone, before tightening.
