The PLATINUM TOOLS 18110 is a gel-filled UR-style wire connector designed for splicing and terminating copper conductors in the 19 to 26 AWG range. The gel fill seals the connection against moisture, making it suitable for installations where the splice may be exposed to water ingress or humid conditions. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use this connector to create fast, reliable connections without soldering or taping. The UR connector style accepts multiple conductors and the gel compound flows around the wire strands to create both a mechanical crimp and a watertight seal in a single step.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial wiring applications including telephone wiring, low-voltage control wiring, irrigation system wiring, and direct-burial splice points where moisture resistance is required. The 19 to 26 AWG wire range covers common thermostat wire, data cable conductors, and telephone station wire. It is well suited for outdoor junction points and underground conduit entries where standard open-barrel connectors are not appropriate.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use gel-filled B connector for low-voltage copper wire splices in the 19 to 26 AWG range.
Installation is performed by electricians or low-voltage technicians. De-energize all circuits before making or breaking any wire connections. Insert the conductors fully into the connector body and compress with the appropriate crimping tool to ensure the gel encapsulates the splice. Installations should comply with applicable NEC requirements for the circuit type and environment.
