The PIP IC5/S is a general-purpose welding glove constructed from split cowhide leather with a Gunn-cut back pattern and full-fingered coverage. Sized small for men or medium for women, the glove measures 9.56 inches in overall length and features a safety cuff style. Kevlar stitching throughout adds durability against heat and abrasion. Leather reinforcements at the knuckle strap and fingertips provide extra protection in high-wear zones. The glove is unlined and uncoated, keeping the fit close and tactile response high. A suede grip surface on the palm side improves hold on tools and workpieces during welding operations.
The IC5/S is suited for welding and allied trades across agriculture, foundry operations, mining, and heavy construction environments. The wing thumb construction reduces stress at a common failure point, extending glove service life. An elastic closure sewn inside the glove maintains a secure fit without exposed hardware that could snag or conduct heat. This glove is intended for general protection during welding tasks where a lightweight, unlined option is preferred over a heavier insulated style.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose welding glove suitable for welding applications in agriculture, foundry operations, mining, and heavy construction trades. Sized small for men and medium for women per IC5 series sizing.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for holes, thin spots, or damaged stitching that could compromise heat protection. Replace immediately if leather shows charring, cracking, or seam separation. Do not use these gloves for electrical work unless they are rated and tested for electrical hazard protection. Welders should follow applicable OSHA 1910.252 and ANSI Z49.1 guidelines for hand protection during welding operations.
