The PIP 9051/XL is a cowhide leather welding glove designed for stick welding, grinding, and general welding applications. Built with side-split cowhide leather and a cotton-lined interior, this glove provides heat protection and durability during high-temperature work. The gauntlet cuff extends overall length to 14.25 inches, shielding the wrist and lower forearm. A double-reinforced wing thumb construction adds wear resistance at one of the highest-stress contact points on a welding glove. Sold as a pair in X-Large, this glove suits both male and female hand sizing at that designation. Licensed welders and fabricators will find it appropriate for shop and field use.
This glove is intended for welders, fabricators, and metalworkers performing stick welding, MIG, grinding, and general thermal-hazard tasks. The gauntlet cuff style and 14.25-inch overall length make it well suited for overhead or positional welding where spatter and arc flash exposure to the wrist is a concern. The uncoated leather palm allows for natural grip feel on electrode holders, angle grinders, and welding torches. It is appropriate for both residential fabrication shops and light industrial environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-issue welding glove for stick welding and grinding applications requiring a gauntlet-cuff leather glove in X-Large sizing.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for cracks, holes, or compromised stitching that could allow heat or spatter exposure. Always don gloves before striking an arc or operating an angle grinder. Replace immediately if the leather shows burn-through, stiffening from heat damage, or torn seams. Follow applicable shop safety standards and OSHA 1910.138 personal protective equipment guidelines for hand protection selection.
