The PIP 7080/42 is a flame-resistant bib apron designed to protect the chest and torso from sparks and heat exposure during light welding and similar tasks. Constructed from 9 oz, 100% cotton sateen fabric that has been FR treated, it measures 24 inches wide by 42 inches in overall length. Adjustable cotton straps allow the wearer to dial in a secure, comfortable fit across a range of body sizes. This apron is intended for use by welders, fabricators, and trade professionals who need reliable spark protection without the bulk of a full leather garment.
The 7080/42 is suited for residential and light industrial environments where flame and spark hazards are present but do not require heavy-duty leather or aluminized protection. Typical applications include light MIG or stick welding, torch work, and grinding operations where FR-rated apparel is required by the work environment or safety program. The green cotton sateen construction keeps the garment lightweight and breathable for extended wear during service calls or shop work.
Designed as an OEM-style FR apron for use in light welding and spark-exposure applications where flame-resistant bib-style protective apparel is required.
This apron is donned and adjusted by the wearer before beginning any welding, cutting, or grinding operation. Inspect the garment before each use for tears, burns, or compromised FR treatment that could reduce protection. Follow the employer safety program and applicable OSHA or NFPA 70E guidelines for FR apparel selection and care. Launder according to the manufacturer care label to preserve FR properties over the garment lifecycle.
