The PIP 6244/M is a pair of TIG welding gloves designed for precision heat and cut protection in demanding industrial environments. Constructed from top grain goatskin leather, these medium-sized gloves feature a smooth grip surface and an extended gauntlet cuff with a split leather construction for added wrist and forearm protection. The interior is lined with an aramid blend for heat resistance, and all stitching is Kevlar for durability under sustained thermal exposure. At 0.3 pounds per pair, the lightweight build supports dexterity during detailed torch work. A TPR back panel adds impact resistance rated to ANSI 138 Impact Level 2.
These gloves are suited for TIG welding applications across residential and commercial trade environments including steel mills, shipyards, manufacturing facilities, automotive shops, and general torch work. The straight thumb design supports natural hand positioning during prolonged use. The extended gauntlet cuff provides coverage beyond the wrist, which is critical in high-heat or spark-exposure scenarios. Both men's medium and women's large sizing are accommodated by this fit. Installation or use is performed by welders and fabricators who require dexterity without sacrificing cut and heat protection.
Designed for TIG welding applications in steel mills, shipyards, manufacturing, automotive, and torch work environments where ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A4 and ANSI/ISEA Puncture Level 3 protection is required.
Welding gloves are donned and inspected before initiating any arc or torch operation. Ensure the work area power source and gas supply are confirmed safe before beginning service. Gloves should be inspected for cuts, wear, or compromised seams before each use and replaced if the leather or lining shows deterioration. Always follow applicable workplace safety standards and PPE requirements for your trade environment.
