The PIP 6144/XL is a full-fingered leather welding glove engineered for TIG welding and grinding applications. Constructed from cowhide leather with a synthetic leather blend, this glove provides durable hand protection while maintaining the dexterity required for TIG work. The glove is lined with para-aramid material, which contributes to its ANSI/ISEA Cut Resistance Level A4 rating. A keystone thumb and Gunn back pattern support natural hand movement during extended use. The gauntlet-style cuff extends 4 inches for forearm protection against sparks and heat exposure. Sold as a pair, this glove is sized X-Large and weighs approximately 0.47 pounds.
This glove is suited for professional welders and fabricators performing TIG welding and grinding tasks in both industrial and light manufacturing environments. The para-aramid lining and leather shell make it appropriate for applications where cut resistance and heat exposure are primary concerns. The gauntlet cuff provides additional coverage in overhead or close-proximity welding situations where wrist and lower forearm protection matters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-issue TIG welding glove for use in industrial welding, fabrication, and grinding applications requiring ANSI Cut Level A4 hand protection.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for cuts, worn areas, or compromised seams that could reduce protection. Gloves must be dry before use near electrical equipment or open arc welding processes. Replace gloves immediately if the lining is exposed or the outer shell shows significant wear. Consult applicable OSHA and ANSI hand protection standards for proper PPE selection in your specific work environment.
