The PIP 1868-4 is a top grain goatskin welding glove designed for MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, and general material handling. Sold as a pair, these gloves feature an unlined, padded palm with a reinforced thumb saddle and a flame-resistant insulated back. The palm and wear-patch use a patented double-stitched construction for durability in high-contact areas. All seams are sewn with Kevlar thread for added resistance to heat and abrasion. The Kontoura pre-curved finger design gives the glove a form-fitting profile that reduces hand fatigue over long work sessions. Licensed welders, fabricators, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary users.
The 1868-4 is suited for both residential and light commercial welding environments. It performs well in MIG and TIG applications, plasma cutting operations, and general material handling tasks. The long leather cuff provides wrist and forearm protection during overhead or close-proximity welding. A large pulse protector adds coverage on the back of the hand. The glove ships in a medium size and is sold in pairs. Each pair includes a carabiner and Caiman loops for convenient storage and pairing between uses.
Designed for MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and general material handling applications where dexterity and moderate heat protection are required.
These gloves are worn PPE and do not require installation. Inspect gloves before each use for worn seams, holes, or degraded padding. Replace immediately if structural integrity is compromised. Follow your facility or jobsite PPE requirements and applicable OSHA standards for hand protection in welding environments.
