The PIP 1540-5 is a multi-task welding glove designed for professionals who need reliable flame and heat protection during welding operations. Constructed with a grain goatskin leather palm and a split cowhide leather back, these gloves deliver durability and dexterity in a single pair. Stitched with Kevlar thread for added seam strength, the 1540-5 features a gauntlet-style cuff and a Gunn back pattern. They are sized for large men or extra-large women and are designed to be installed and removed quickly during active work. Licensed welders, ironworkers, and fabricators are the primary users of this glove.
The 1540-5 is suited for multi-task welding environments in both residential and commercial fabrication settings. The gauntlet cuff provides extended wrist and forearm coverage, making it appropriate for MIG, TIG, and general-purpose welding tasks where spark and heat exposure are a regular concern. The smooth grip surface works well on rods, torches, and work materials. A complimentary 3-inch carabiner is included, allowing the gloves to be clipped to a belt or tool bag for easy access on the job site.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use welding glove for multi-task welding applications requiring flame and heat protection in large hand size.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for burns, tears, or compromised seams that could reduce protection. Ensure the gauntlet cuff fully covers the wrist before starting any welding operation. Do not use damaged gloves. Follow applicable OSHA and ANSI Z49.1 safety standards for personal protective equipment in welding environments.
