Product Description

The PIP 1540-4 is a premium TIG welder glove built around PIP's patented Kontoura design system, which conforms the glove to the natural resting shape of the hand for proper finger alignment and reduced fatigue during sustained welding operations. The palm is constructed from supple goat grain leather, offering the sensitivity TIG welding demands while holding up to repeated use. The back features gold split cowhide with a 4-inch extended gauntlet cuff. The glove is sewn with Kevlar thread throughout for maximum seam strength. Licensed TIG welders and experienced fabricators are the primary users of this glove.

The 1540-4 is sized for medium hands and sold as a pair. The extended 4-inch cuff provides wrist and forearm protection in tight welding positions common in structural, pipe, and sheet metal work. The Kontour Thumba design relocates the thumb seam away from the contact and wear zone, while the Kontour Wrista wrist design reduces pressure points that develop during long welding passes. A combination palm reinforcement and drag patch wraps to the side of the hand where a TIG welder drags along the work surface, protecting the highest-wear zone. A 3-inch carabiner is included for storing the gloves together between uses.
