The PIP 1485-6 is a heavy-duty MIG and stick welding glove built from genuine American elk skin for trade welders who need dexterity without sacrificing protection. The elk skin shell is paired with a natural wool insulated back for heat management and an unlined reverse grain palm that keeps hand feel close and responsive. All seams are fully welted with black split cowhide and sewn with Kevlar thread, providing structural integrity against the abrasion and spark exposure common in welding environments. The cuff is constructed from gray split cowhide. Sold as a pair.
These gloves are suited for MIG and stick welding applications in fabrication shops, construction sites, industrial maintenance, and pipefitting environments. The Kontoura pre-curved finger design and form-fitting construction reduce hand fatigue during extended work. Thumb reinforcement strap and pulse protector add targeted protection at high-wear contact points. Patches, padding, and reinforcements are positioned for additional comfort and protection where welders need it most. Each pair includes Caiman loops and a 3-inch carabiner for glove organization and storage between tasks.
Designed for MIG and stick welding applications requiring a heavy-duty leather glove with enhanced dexterity and thermal protection.
These gloves are worn PPE and require no installation. Welders should inspect gloves before each use for burn-through, seam separation, or compromised cuff integrity. Replace immediately if the shell or seams show signs of failure. Follow applicable workplace safety standards and employer PPE requirements for welding hand protection.
