The PFERD 79183285 is a knotted-wire end brush designed for surface conditioning, deburring, and cleaning in confined areas such as inside corners, edges, and tight recesses. The brush measures 0.25 inches in diameter and uses stainless steel fill wire with a wire diameter range of 0.0101 to 0.0200 inches. It is rated for up to 20,000 RPM, making it suitable for use with standard die grinders and pneumatic rotary tools. A shank is included for direct chuck mounting. This tool is used by machinists, fabricators, maintenance technicians, and trade professionals working on metal surface prep applications.
This end brush is intended for use on non-ferrous and specialty metals including aluminum, bronze, nickel, titanium, stainless steel, cobalt-based alloys, nickel-base alloys, titanium alloys, and high-temperature resistant materials. Its small diameter and knotted wire construction make it well suited for reaching into bores, weld joints, slots, and other areas that flat or cup brushes cannot access. Typical applications include pre-weld cleaning, post-weld scale removal, deburring drilled holes, and general surface conditioning in fabrication and maintenance environments.
Designed for use on aluminum, bronze, cobalt-based alloys, hardened non-ferrous metals, high-temperature resistant materials, nickel, nickel-base alloys, titanium, titanium alloys, soft titanium alloys, stainless steel, and other non-ferrous metals as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by trade professionals or machinists using a standard die grinder or rotary tool with a compatible collet or chuck. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 20,000 RPM rating of the brush before operation. Secure the shank fully in the collet before powering the tool, and ensure the workpiece is properly clamped or fixtured. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety standards when operating rotary wire brushes.
