The PFERD 79183284 is a knotted-wire end brush designed for surface conditioning, deburring, and cleaning in confined areas, inside corners, and along edges. The brush measures 1/4 inch in diameter and uses a single, twisted wire knot construction with stainless steel fill wire in the 0.0101 to 0.0200 inch diameter range. It is rated to 20,000 RPM and includes a shank for direct chuck mounting. Metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians use this brush with rotary tools and die grinders to reach tight geometry that flat or cup brushes cannot access.
This end brush is suited for work on non-ferrous and specialty metals including aluminum, bronze, nickel, titanium, titanium alloys, soft titanium alloy, cobalt-based alloys, nickel base alloys, stainless steel, and other non-ferrous materials. Typical applications include weld prep, light deburring, surface blending, and scale removal in areas where larger brush formats are impractical. It is used in both production and maintenance settings across fabrication shops and field service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement end brush for use with die grinders and rotary tools that accept a standard shank-mount wire brush. Suitable for applications involving aluminum, bronze, cobalt-based alloys, hardened non-ferrous metals, high-temperature-resistant materials, nickel, nickel base alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and titanium alloys.
Installation is performed by trade professionals using die grinders or rotary tools with compatible chuck sizes. Before mounting, confirm the tool's rated RPM meets or exceeds the brush's 20,000 RPM maximum to avoid running the brush below its design speed range. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before changing brushes. Always verify the shank is fully seated and the chuck is properly tightened before operation, and wear appropriate eye and face protection during use.
