The PFERD 21823262 is a double cut carbide burr with a ball-shaped head, designed for material removal, deburring, shaping, and surface finishing in metal fabrication, tool and die, and general machining applications. The cutting diameter measures 3/16 inches with a 1/8 inch length of cut and a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Built to an SD-53 industry specification, the uncoated carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance up to 57,000 RPM. The overall length is 1-3/8 inches. Machinists, fabricators, and die grinders operators install this burr in pneumatic or electric rotary tools for precision material work.
This burr suits residential shop, industrial, and field applications where a compact ball profile is needed to access contoured or recessed surfaces. Typical uses include weld blending, port and cavity work, and chamfering on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The double cut tooth pattern produces a faster stock removal rate with a smoother finish compared to single cut geometry, making it a practical choice for finishing passes as well as aggressive stock removal on harder materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit carbide burr for die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/8 inch collet, conforming to SD-53 industry specification.
This burr is installed by machinists and fabricators using pneumatic or electric die grinders. Ensure the tool is powered off and depressurized or disconnected from power before changing burrs. Secure the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the tool manufacturer's specification before operation. Do not exceed the 57,000 RPM maximum rating, and always wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when operating rotary burrs.
