The PERMATEX 81950 is an ultra-slick engine assembly lubricant formulated to protect critical engine components during initial startup. Applied during assembly, it coats camshafts, lifters, bearings, and other high-wear surfaces to prevent metal-to-metal contact before the oil system reaches full pressure. The 4 oz container provides enough coverage for a typical engine build. This product is used by automotive technicians and engine builders who need reliable boundary lubrication during the critical first moments of engine operation.
The 81950 is suited for use during professional engine rebuilds and assembly work in automotive and light-duty applications. It is applied directly to engine internals prior to final assembly, including bearing journals, cam lobes, valve stems, and lifter bores. The formula is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils and will not clog oil passages or leave harmful residue once the engine reaches operating temperature.
Designed for use as an assembly lubricant on gasoline and diesel engine internals during rebuild and assembly procedures.
Apply directly to all high-friction engine surfaces during assembly before final installation of components. Ensure all surfaces are clean and free of debris before application. This product is intended for use by experienced engine builders and automotive technicians familiar with engine assembly procedures. Do not use as a substitute for engine oil or as an ongoing lubricant.
