The PDM COPPER pc-7850 is a 7/8-inch OD seamless soft copper tube supplied in a 50-foot length, manufactured to ASTM B280 specification for air conditioning and refrigeration (ACR) service. The tube is supplied in 060 soft annealed temper, making it easy to bend and route without cracking during installation. It is paired with 1/2-inch wall insulation rated to ASTM E84 for smoke and flame spread, providing both thermal performance and compliance on residential and light commercial refrigerant line set runs. HVAC technicians use this product to connect condensing units to air handlers or evaporator coils.
This line set tubing is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC split-system installations where the suction line requires a 7/8-inch OD copper tube. The 50-foot length accommodates typical distances between outdoor condensing units and indoor air handlers. The insulated design reduces heat gain along the suction line, supporting system efficiency. The soft annealed temper allows field bending around structural obstacles without the need for a tubing bender in most cases, which speeds up installation in retrofit and new-construction applications alike.
Designed for use as a suction line in residential and light commercial split-system HVAC installations requiring a 7/8-inch OD ACR copper line set tube conforming to ASTM B280.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician following local mechanical codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling regulations. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and recover any refrigerant from the system before cutting or connecting tubing. Keep tube ends capped until connection to prevent moisture and debris contamination inside the line set. Insulation joints and penetrations should be sealed to maintain thermal continuity and meet applicable fire or building code requirements.
