This 4-way switch is intended for use in branch circuit wiring where a single load must be switched from three or more locations, a common requirement in hallways, stairwells, and large rooms with multiple entry points. The decorator-style rocker profile fits standard single-gang and multi-gang decorator wallplates. The 120/277-volt dual voltage rating makes it usable in both standard residential circuits and commercial fluorescent lighting circuits operating at 277 volts.
