The PASS SEYMOUR CSB20AC3ICC8 is a commercial-specification-grade 3-way toggle switch rated at 20 amps and 120/277 volts, designed for demanding commercial and industrial wiring applications. Built with high-impact-resistant thermoplastic construction, this grounding switch is engineered to handle the cycle loads and physical stress common in commercial environments. It is tested to 25,000 on/off cycles and carries UL and CSA listings along with Federal Specification compliance. The screw pressure plate termination accepts 14 through 10 AWG stranded and solid copper wire from both back and side entry points, giving electricians flexibility during rough-in. This SKU ships as a box of 8 switches.
This switch is suited for commercial, institutional, and specification-grade residential installations where a durable, code-compliant 3-way switching solution is required. Common applications include corridor lighting control, stairwell lighting, and any multi-point switching circuit operating at standard 120-volt or 277-volt branch circuits. The 277-volt rating makes it directly applicable to commercial fluorescent and LED lighting circuits fed from 480Y/277-volt distribution panels. Licensed electricians performing commercial tenant build-outs, renovation work, or new construction will find this switch meets the specification requirements commonly called out on construction documents.
Designed as an OEM-style commercial-specification 3-way toggle switch for use in standard single-gang switch boxes wired with 14 through 10 AWG copper conductors on 120-volt or 277-volt grounded branch circuits.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel and verify zero voltage with a meter before beginning any wiring work. Ensure proper grounding connection is made to the green grounding screw. Do not exceed the 20A or 277V ratings, and do not use with aluminum conductors.
