The outlet uses double wipe contacts made from a high-performance copper-based alloy, which maintains reliable conductivity under repeated plug insertion cycles. It is UL Listed, including for use with aluminum wiring — a critical rating for older residential installations where aluminum branch circuit conductors are present.
