The PASS SEYMOUR 3890CC6 is a flush mount range outlet rated at 50 amps and 125/250 volts, built to NEMA 10-50 configuration. It features a 3-pole, 3-wire non-grounding design intended for electric range and heavy-duty cooking appliance circuits. The outlet uses double wipe contacts made from a high-performance copper-based alloy, which maintains reliable conductivity under repeated plug insertion cycles. It is UL Listed, including for use with aluminum wiring — a critical rating for older residential installations where aluminum branch circuit conductors are present. Electricians and electrical contractors handle installation in compliance with NEC Article 250 and local amendments.
This outlet is suited for residential kitchen installations where a flush-mount range receptacle is required on a dedicated 50-amp circuit. The black finish gives it a clean appearance behind a matching wall plate. It is designed to be used with the 2-gang wall plate model S3862c, which is sold separately. Typical installations include replacement of worn or damaged NEMA 10-50 range receptacles in residential settings, as well as new rough-in work where a flush-mount outlet is specified over a surface-mount configuration.
Designed for use with a 2-gang wall plate, model S3862c. Fits standard in-wall boxes configured for flush-mount NEMA 10-50 range outlet installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Turn off the branch circuit breaker and verify the circuit is de-energized with a voltage tester before beginning any wiring. This is a non-grounding outlet; do not use it as a substitute for a grounded NEMA 14-50 receptacle where a grounding conductor is present. Verify conductor material (copper or aluminum) and torque terminals to the lugs per the device markings and NEC requirements.
