The PASS SEYMOUR 3861CC5 is a dual-configuration angle plug designed for heavy-duty range and dryer circuits in residential and light commercial applications. It operates at 125/250 volts and features interchangeable blades that allow the installer to configure the plug for either a 30-amp or 50-amp circuit, making it a versatile single-SKU solution for both NEMA 10-30 and NEMA 10-50 outlets. The 3-pole, 3-wire non-grounding design meets the legacy wiring configurations still common in older residential panels. UL Listed, CSA certified, and compliant with Federal Specifications, this plug is also UL Listed for use with aluminum wire, expanding its compatibility with older aluminum-wired branch circuits.
This plug is suited for connecting electric ranges and dryers to wall receptacles in residential kitchens and laundry rooms. Its dead front design eliminates exposed live parts during handling, reducing shock risk during installation. Electricians working on service upgrades, appliance replacements, or retrofit installs will find the interchangeable blade feature useful when the circuit ampacity needs to be confirmed on-site.
