The PARLEC ERS20-0315 is an ER20 spring collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and collet chuck toolholding systems. It accepts an 8 mm bore diameter and has an overall length of 1.24 inches, fitting within the compact ER20 collet standard. The collet exerts a clamping pressure of 1800 units to grip cutting tools, drill bits, and round-shank tooling securely during high-speed operation. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet as a standard component of ER-style toolholding systems where repeatable, concentric tool clamping is required.
This collet is suited for light to medium-duty machining applications in production and job-shop environments. The ER20 series is a widely adopted collet standard used in milling, drilling, tapping, and reaming operations. Its compact overall diameter of 0.827 inches makes it appropriate for toolholding chucks that require a low-profile, high-precision collet in confined spindle environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement collet for ER20-compatible toolholding chucks and collet nuts used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Before changing collets, power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety procedures. Insert the collet into the ER20 chuck body and engage the collet nut hand-tight before torquing with the appropriate ER collet nut wrench. Do not use damaged or out-of-spec collets, as this can result in tool runout or tool ejection during operation.
