The PARLEC ER40-1141 is an ER40 series collet designed for precision workholding in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and collet chuck toolholding systems. With a collet size of 1.1418 inches (29.00 mm) and an overall length of 1.811 inches, this collet provides accurate, repeatable clamping for cutting tools and round-shank tooling. A minimum collet capacity of 1.1024 inches (28.0 mm) defines the lower end of the clamping range. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC setup personnel are the primary users of this component in production and job-shop environments.
This collet is suited for use in ER40-compatible collet chucks mounted to milling machine spindles, CNC machining centers, and lathe turret toolholding blocks. The ER40 series is a widely adopted standard in both light and heavy-duty machining applications, accommodating a broad range of tool shank diameters. This specific size targets larger-diameter tooling within the ER40 range, making it appropriate for face mills, boring tools, and larger end mill shanks that fall within its clamping capacity.
Designed for use with ER40-standard collet chucks and toolholding systems that accept the ER40 collet series.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians using an appropriate ER40 collet nut and spanner wrench. Always ensure the collet chuck and spindle are fully stopped and powered down before inserting or removing a collet. Confirm the tool shank diameter falls within the stated clamping range before tightening. Do not exceed the torque ratings specified by the collet chuck manufacturer.
