The PARLEC ER25-0551 is an ER25 series collet designed for precision tool holding in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and similar rotating spindle equipment. This collet accepts a nominal collet size of 14.00 mm (0.5512 inches) and has a minimum collet capacity of 13.0 mm (0.5118 inches), giving it a defined clamping range for round-shank cutting tools. Overall length is 1.338 inches. The ER25 series is a widely adopted standard collet format used across a broad range of machine tool spindles, chucks, and extensions. Installation and tool changes are performed by qualified machinists or tool crib technicians following machine manufacturer specifications.
This collet is suited for production and job-shop environments where ER25 collet chucks are the standard workholding solution. Typical applications include end mill holding, drill holding, reamer holding, and tapping when used with a compatible ER25 chuck body. The ER25 format is common in both light-duty and medium-duty machining operations across vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use with ER25-standard collet chuck bodies, extensions, and holders that accept the ER25 collet series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using a standard ER collet nut and appropriate spanner wrench. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in a safe, locked-out state before any tool or collet change. Collets should be inspected for wear, cracks, or debris before installation, and seating surfaces on the chuck body should be clean and undamaged. Follow machine manufacturer torque recommendations for the collet nut.
