The PARLEC C50-12SM5 is a CAT50 taper shank shell mill holder designed for mounting shell mill cutters on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The holder features a 1.25 inch pilot diameter and a 2.75 inch nose diameter, with a 5.5 inch projection from flange to nose end. Total indicated runout (TIR) is rated at 0.0002 inches, supporting high-precision face milling operations. Balanced to 30,000 RPM, this holder is suited for high-speed machining environments where vibration control and concentricity are critical. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians are the primary installers.

This shell mill holder is intended for use with shell mill cutters in the 3 to 3.5 inch cutting diameter range. It is compatible with CAT50 spindle interfaces found on full-size vertical machining centers and heavy-duty horizontal machining centers common in production and job shop environments. The 5/8-18 lock screw thread and included lock screw (12LS) secure the cutter to the pilot.
